We must really suck this year. Can't even win in Marriott Center and losing to the Utes. What's weird, is we actually have some players who might be able to play, but the team can't win tight games any more.

It's hard to win small-ball when your center sucks, and the team as a whole is slow.
Think about it. A small unathletic front line, backed by an unathletic backcourt. As much of a disappointment and headcase as Plaisted was, he was heads and shoulders better than his backups. We really miss Collinsworth as well, with his length and rebounding and defense. On a good team, Tavernari would be a 6th man. On a mediocre team he is the starting power forward, esp. when that mediocre team starts a terrible 5. |

Rose has a good offensive scheme for the most part, he just has lousy, slow players. His forwards are abysmal, except Tav can shoot a little and Abou, plays like a freshman but shows he might be able to play. Jimmer is the best player but has no support, and Emery is up and down. The power forward-center play is non-existent. No speed, no ability inside, leaves one to pop threes from the outside and hope they fall. Not a good omen. We will lose in the NIT in the Marriott Center. So I agree. The bottom seems to be falling out on this team.

Tavernari has been to the line extraordinarily rarely for a power forward. He is the definition of a slow finesse player. Hence he should be the offensive spark-plug off the bench.
I've only watched one game this season, but one has to wonder where the leadership on this team is coming from. Cummard was expected to carry this team, but it seems that he just disappears on the floor, and one wonders if he does the same in the lockerroom. Oh well, don't really care. I'm more worried about my own game than sitting in front of the tube. I really don't even care to go to the TCU game. |

Oh wait nevermind I saw your other post below you have only seen one game. Forget that I even commented as you obviously have no idea what you are talking about.

I only needed to watch Bolt run once to know he was fast. I only needed to see Andy Reid once this season to know he is unable to see his feet. |

We aren't going to the NIT. A first round loss in the NCAA tournament looks likely right now.
