Default Halloween candy

Is there anything more unsatisfying than eating leftover Halloween candy? The first couple of days aren't bad as you finish up the Milky Ways and Peanut Butter cups. After that you're settling for some Sweettarts or Smarties for old times sake and hoping that a wayward Rolo will show itself amongs a sea of Dum-Dums.

Today I gave the remainder of the candy to my Sunday School class so that burden is now off my shoulders.

I've noticed that they largely give out the same candy that they did when I was a kid. Smarties, tootsie rolls, the orange and black wrapped toffee-like peanut butter-flavored candy. The red hardy candy in the strawberry wrapper. More tootsie rolls. Yes, the crappy candy. My son won't even eat it.

What about the dentist on your block who thinks he is doing everyone a favor by handing out cellophane wrapped toothbrushes? Weak.

and they are always cheap toothbrushes.

At least hand out water pics or something nice.

Yes, and when he trimmed his bushes in the spring, he found they were full of toothbrushes.
We had one of those too, although he wasn't a dentist, just the ward organist.

My Mom, the school teacher, gave the kids pencils each year. And she wondered why nobody ever came to our house.
