Hey Utes whatever happened to that Portis kid?
I think it was Josh Portis who was the all everything HS player that committed to Utah but then switched to Florida to follow Urban. I watched Florida/LSU yesterday and Florida has a true freshman QB of the future who's already seeing the field. So what happened to the Portis kid? Is he just not as good as Tebow?

Transferred to Maryland and he is not nearly as good as Tebow. Tim Tebow is amazing and will win a Heisman before his career at Florida is over. Tebow will be the second best QB that Meyer will have (behind Alex Smith of course) and will get Meyer his first MNC. I think the guy is that good.

I think Tebow may surprise Alex eventually, Smith was a great QB but Tebow looks like he is special. Regardless Urban is in a great position.
Also i read on Marylands site that Portis broke the school record for 40 time by a qb, he ran like a 4.49 or something like that.

Tebow will be a great college QB, no doubt about it.

Tebow is a runner right now. Also, if they run him like that in the SEC for all the games then he is going to get hurt. I am not sold on him just yet, just like I am not sold on the Gators yet. I think this Saturday will tell us a lot.

I've been saying that every week. last week DID say a lot.
I would worry about Tebow as well, but seriously, he was running over backers during the LSU game. He's a fine thrower as well. It was a fantastic game.
