Utah vs. BSU in Fiesta Bowl?
That would be funny. And sad.

Here is the pecking order for BCS selections this year:
First pick: goes to the bowl that loses its conference tie-in to the #1 seed in the title game Second pick: same story with the #2 seed Third pick: Fiesta Fourth pick: Sugar Fifth pick: Orange For the Fiesta to pit the School of the Prophets against the Potato Zoobs, they would have to use two of the first three picks on them. They would essentially be saying "we would rather have Utah than Texas," and "we would rather have Boise State than Ohio State." |

I'm just saying, in the the CBS halftime report they said several published reports have said that the Fiesta is considering matching these two.
It would be good, financially, for the conferences at the very least. |

It would be fine with me depending on the alternative. I want the Utes to play the highest ranked team possible. I don't care about names.

Now that Oregon State is out of the picture, it's at least possible. But I still find it inconceivable. The bowl would stand to gain absolutely nothing from that matchup.

With the great showing that Ohio State fans made at the Fiesta Bowls in 2002 (vs. Miami) and 2006 (vs. Florida), why on earth would they even consider Boise State in favor of the Suckeyes?
