Default Nike Sideline Gear

This is pretty funny. I'm not sure how Nike missed this.

If you haven't noticed yet, look at your coaches on the sidelines this weekend. If they're wearing the official sideline polo, the way Nike designed them this year, they've got a perfectly formed upside-down longhorn on each sleeve. There's a stripe pointing down the arm, and one that goes around the shoulder.

Supposedly this was not intentional, but from the side, when somebody's wearing it, it looks precisely like a longhorn. So much so that I honestly thought the OU coaching staff had ordered a custom design this year. I was thinking "how pathetic is that"?

Turns out almost every team in the country is using them, including BYU. Surprisingly enough UTexas opted out of Nike's design this year.

seriously! Look at BM (are those seriously his initials?) on Saturday. It's unmistakable. A Sooner or Longhorn is going to notice more than anybody else, bit it's pretty hard to miss.

I still wonder if somebody at Nike was fooling around with the design.

I heard that if you look at the collar and the buttons, you can clearly see a Y shape, symbolozing BYU, of course.

Nike did it as a prank on the U.

I am surprised they didnt notice.

I am going to be laughing my butt off in Novemeber when I see all those U coaches on the sidelines wearing our Nike shirt!

His initials, I believe, are more accurately, MM...

I guess some OU fans are rolling around town today in OKC Thunder! gear. That could lead to some problems with a 4:30 kick-off after much drinking during the pre-game.

Yeah, when I was in Washington over the summer in my Sooner stuff I kept having people come up and ask why we were taking their team. Not sure how to answer that question.

I really wanted to go to the game. I think I'd skip the Thunder gear, though.
