Dogs go to heaven
This should end our little debate once and for all:
http://www.mormontimes.com/WC_education.php?id=1871 This is just the kind of deep thinking and soul-satisfying information that you folks are missing out on by not attending Education Week.

I saw that. Pink Panther should be afraid, very afraid.

????
For some of us, the death of a pet is a difficult thing. Am I to be mocked if I looked up information about this after my pet died? Apparently so. If your wife died, would you want someone mocking the plan of salvation and the after-life? Probably not. |

Sally: Is one of us supposed to be a dog in this hypo?
Harry: Yes. Sally: Who is the dog? Harry: You are. Sally: I am the dog. I am the dog. |

Apologies. We know that you, of all people, would never stoop so low as to mock someone else.

perhaps just the wisdom I needed in making my decision about whether or not to get a dog. Which decision is keeping me awake at night, btw. Does that mean it's a bad idea?

dog ownership is hell for some people, and it's heaven for others. either way, it is still time-consuming and challenging.
please consult on breed before you make a decision. that can have a big impact. |

I've done hours of internet research, got 6 books at the library, e-mailed several breeders describing what I am looking for, consulted with the vet at the animal rescue shelter. . . I told you it's keeping me up at night. I don't take it lightly. Just making that jump to actually owning one. . . scares me. I'm starting to think I've actually done too much research. Everywhere I look I get told how serious this is, which is a lot of what is giving me pause.

one thing to consider is dog hair. that might drive some people crazy. also if you have small children, a bigger breed is probably better. |
