NYTimes declares "No Country" an instant masterpiece and classic.

A perfect film. This will be the Coens' second best picture win, I predict. Lebowski, there's no spoiler here but it looks like they may not have changed the book's ending as we surmised they might. The review says the film follows the book almost exactly (except for philosophical digressions).

Great review. I am not sure we can fully surmise the ending based on these comments, but it looks like you may be right. In any case, it will be interesting to see how they pull it off. I agree with the reviewer that pairing the Coen Bros and McCarthy is a match made in heaven.
