Ike Brings Gas Panic in Mid-South
Big run on gasoline at Memphis-area stations yesterday. I had filled up Thursday, not by plan, at $3.50 per gallon. Yesterday my wife waited in line for 30 minutes to fill up at $3.75 per gallon. The panic started mid-afternoon. This morning there are very few lines, but gas is up to $3.80 per gallon. I hear things in Arkansas are worse (Well, I guess one could say that about anything).

Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!! Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith. |
