Default So the lady and myself....

have put away over $2,500 in a six month cd specifically sitting there for use in a two week trip next year.

The trip will most likely occur in late spring, early summer, and we are looking for suggestions.

I have been all around the globe, she has been all throughout America and the carribbean, (I've never been).

I told her we should do a three week trip to the Pacific Rim, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and another island, what are your suggestions?

A guy in my ward recently climbed Kilimanjaro and showed me his slides.

Man I would love to do that.

I would take her to Europe. Do it a little differently and start out in London for a couple of days and then do the Eastern Europe trip and go thru Poland, Greece, Turkey, Romania and Bulgaria.

If you do the regular trip, I would start out in London, go down thru Paris and to Italy and Switzerland.

Another Europe trip is to start out in London and then head up to Stockholm, visit Finland shortly, go down to southern Sweden and visit Malmo and take short boat or bridge over to Copenhagen.

If not Europe, go to Northern Africa--Morocco and spend some time and take the boat over to the Canary Islands for a few days.

those are just a few ideas but I will be thinking.

I gather the budget is not limited to the $2500 plus 6 months interest?

The budget ultimately will be right around 3 K.

I would like to keep it around 2 K, as I figured we could get someplace for right around 700 and back pack around for around 6 to 8 hundred dollars.

I like the Morocco, Canary Islands, idea.

Southeast Asia would be a blast as well.

If you could do either of those things on that budget I'd be amazed and very jealous.

Canary Islands are great. I'm more familiar with them as a missionary, rather than as a tourist, but I could probably point you to the best spots, if you're interested. Let me know.

You think?

My buddy and his wife just got back from a three week jaunt in Europe and they paid right around $2500.

Maybe they got killer deals on airfare, and they did stay in hostels the entire trip.

I am willing to fly a buddy pass if airfare, or accomodations are too pricey, as I have access to buddy passes. (I hate flying them as it seems I always have low priority)
