Reason I say this is:

Over here, topics on religion and philosophy etc. are many times on the edge/fringe and many times deal with controversial topics. Ones that have many opinions, but not a lot of definition perhaps.

On CB, it is a much more watered down version of religious topics, monitored more closely and much much more conservative.

I've noticed in the last few weeks that there have been posters from CG...posting and piqueing the interest of others over there about similar, controversial topics relating to all kinds of things religious & political.

Is there a deliberate purpose to that?...or, am I off base.

Deliberate as in concerted, pre-planned? No.

Do people jump back and forth depending on whether they want immediate feedback versus a more deliberate approach? Yes.

However, if anybody really desires a conspiracy, we could concoct one if you like.

Most of those who initially came over had/have serious problems with Cougarboard.

Maybe "infiltrate" is a bad word, but you know what he's talking about.

I thought as much. Seemed like in the past few weeks, the pot has been stiring quite vigorously over there.

Much more bubbling on topics usually not approached there.

Less so now. Jefe instituted a blood purge and the place is not nearly what it used to be. I think he takes retribution over there on people for what they say here. Anyway, I don't go there anymore even though I could if I posted milquetoast stuff.
