Thank goodness this isn't the final poll, otherwise it would be cause for concern.
I wonder why an undefeated Utah and BSU are not even in the NC conversation, though? Don't you find that weird?

Yawn. Respond to my trolling headline with all the trolling that you want, buddy. Now we know what USC's headline will be for the season: "at least we were in the conversation."

Second week in a row we win by forty points and get passed in the poll. At this rate we'll drop out of the top ten altogether by the end of the regular season.
I have to give the sportswriters a little credit, though: unlike the coaches, at least they're rational enough to put Texas ahead of Oklahoma. |

NCAA record: 7 straight PAC 10 titles NCAA record: 7 straight 11 win seasons NCAA record: 7 straight BCS bowl games Fight On! Good luck to the Utes, though. Maybe they will get halfway to their BCS grand slam? It will be neat if they can get that at-large bid.

I just think the polls make for interesting study of voter behavior and bias. |

Ah come on Babs, fan behavior is just as fun to watch. It will be neat if USC can get that at-large, especially after failing to win their own conference. Good thing the Obama plan isn't in effect this year. That's the big brother effect, right? (As in, that was my big brother's school)

As far as fan behavior, it gets pretty predictable after awhile. |

Hey Babs you'll like this: on Game Night they pointed out that if Florida loses to Florida State and then beats Alabama, the BCS "championship" game will probably feature two teams from the Big 12 South. Note that Rule #1 in the BCS rules says that the top two teams in the final BCS standings shall play in the "championship" game, and there are no further provisions about having to be a conference champion or whatnot.
So essentially, TT @ OU is a playoff game, all things considered. |
