Is Anae judged a little harder because he's Polynesian?
I keep waiting for a post like this on CB, "I think Anea is a great guy but we all know that a Polynesian coach just isn't smart enough to run an offense".
Give the guy a break, he's doing a great job. |

He's done a good job in many respects.
Game-planning and adjusting do not seem to be his strengths. |

There's a reason that Anae doesn't
do too many interviews. But back on topic............it was a stupid call. Bronco and coach REynolds thought the same. Bronco was so pissed he didn't even grant KSL their half-time interview as he is contracted to do.

Don't be so sensitive.

I don't care who the offensive coordinator is, if they make a call like that they will get questioned. Hell, if you try to do that on the xBox it even makes fun of you.
Anae has some strengths. His philosophy is essentially exactly opposite in terms of Crowton and game preparation. Anae preaches execution, and relies on that to win. Crowton would rely on making adjustments and exploiting mismatches to gain the upperhand, to the point that BYU almost was playing sandlot football. While I understand and appreciate Anae's focus on execution, sometimes I wish he would bend a bit more and take advantage of more mismatches. |

I will say this because of the way Anae recruits he is safe for a while no matter how crappy of a game he calls. The Polynesian pipeline is back at BYU because of Anae. Anae is fixing what Kaufausi broke when he first go there.

Kaufusi restarted that pipeline and now Anae is there to build upon it. |
