Default Been listening to Kate Nash lately

I know many brits think she is a hack cause she sings with a cockney accent and she is from a fairly well to do family, but I like her. Something about that cockney accent and her singing style that gets me going. I would post some links for the few of you that have not heard her but you tube blocked at work for me.

She is pretty cool. She signed with Moshi Moshi, who actually has some pretty cool bands....Bloc Party, DnTel, Architecture in Helsinki, and even Mates of State (you may have seen their song "For The Actor" on the ATT/Cingular Cell Phone Commercial last year).

I have enjoyed what I have heard of her.

What is up with her accent? Is there a problem with it?

I don't have a problem with it. I am not an expert in such things but I guess it is cockney which is generally considered to be derived in less educated lower-class burroughs. She comes from some privilege and thus some brits think that it is contrived. I just think she sounds cool.
