Default So the new apostle is yet another wealthy lawyer.

Whatever happened to the concept of "is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary?" Or being led by Moses, the man of stuttering speech? Or Joseph Smith, the uneducated farmer? Whatever happened to mighty miracles coming from small and simple things?

Well not just lawyers. I mean, there were tax collectors and pharisees too.

I think there are a couple of reasons for this. One is that the successful practice of law is financially rewarding, another is that it eventually allows a lot of flexibility in your schedule (witness the, probably literally at this point, hundreds of thousands of dollars in lost billable hours spent by lawyers on this board).

One things that puzzles me, however, is that GAs is more administrators and managers than anything else. These are not tools your typical lawyer has.

I'm surprised there are not more consultants...

Aren't 3 or 4 right out of the church education system. That has to be your poor man on the street type occupation.

That was when God was starting from scratch at the beginning of new dispensations.

For the boys on CB a bigger shock then FM moving to Utah will be when Adam gets to sit in a big red chair during conference.

His first talk better be about the silly pageantry of temple ceremonies and about the stupid hats or we'll know that he's nothing more than a invertibrate sellout.
