Speaking of crap being thrown around in a religious setting... we had a bird in our chapel yesterday. Big black starling. It was kind of tough to focus on the testimonies when a bird is flying around overhead. During the closing prayer he dumped his load right on one of the sisters in the ward. Seemed ironic given that another good sister prayed "And please bless that no harm will come to the bird as it is removed from the church." Without any prompting on my part, my wife leaned over and said, "No, you can't shoot it." (damn!)

I went to the San Diego temple dedication years ago and was able to be in the celestial room where Pres. Hinckley (IIRC) was doing the dedication. A bird flew into the room and flew around before it flew into the mirror right over my head. I think it found its way out before pooping on anyone.
