Dear non-Mormons
never assume that you are in the company of all non-Mormons at work without actually asking.
That is all. |

That happened to me at work about 3 years ago. I was sitting at a table in the breakroom with 2 ladies and one of them, for no apparent reason, starting informing us both about mormons. She went on and on about how not just anyone could go to one of their churches and various other eyebrow raising things. When she finally paused I interjected, "Huh. What else do they believe in?" She went on for another 6 or 7 minutes before she stopped at which point I said, "Did you know that I'm a Mormon?" She paused as she stared at me. Then, apparently realizing that she was staring, snapped out of it and said, "No I did not." I just sat there for a few seconds & didn't bother to correct any of her misinformation. I just started chatting up the other lady about an unrelated subject. After a couple of minutes, the first lady said "I have to go uh......" and got up and left.

people don't pick me out as Mormon. I have even gotten a lot of comments when it comes out that I went to BYU..."You went to BYU but you are not Mormon, right?"
Apparently my light does not shine very brightly. I was recently told by a LDS friend in my ward that I am under the influence of Satan (or at least temporarily regarding the matter at hand). So I should not be surprised, I suppose, at how dim my light is. |
