Hi [ute4ever],

I am not sure if you had heard already, but Jared and Clare's daughter, Elizabeth, died on Thursday. The funeral was Saturday. It was an excellent funeral I think that almost everyone who attended felt the spirit very strongly.

That being said, Clare walked out on Jared after the funeral. Her parents spirited her away and she left Jared a note.

There are other circumstances which make the abandonment even worse, but more about that in person.

He could probably use a couple of prayers.

I have no idea what to say to that.

It's a human thing. It's called gossip. Especially effective under the guise of spiritual discourse ("use some prayer," "felt the spirit").

What sender meant to say:

OMG, isn't it sad about J and C's baby? I mean, I'm sure you've already heard about it, but just in case you haven't I'm looking for a few more people to break the news to.

I'm totally close to the family, you know. I was even at the funeral.

Anyhow, enough about that. The story gets even WORSE! Turns she just walked out on him. Can you BELIEVE it? And just wait til you find out why she's leaving. I can't wait to tell you! Wanna do lunch?

Oh, btw, Jared's feeling a little shitty about all this, so if you could send the Big Guy a shout out that would be great.

Additional information regarding the person who sent that email: this makes the fourth time in the past five years that a young adult who was a past or current member of her ward went through the situation of having their marriage end because the girl was instructed by her mommy to leave her husband and move back home and resume being her mommy's baby, and all four times the girl did as her mommy said.

truthfully, when I read the initial post, I didnt read that angle.

I simply understood it to be that the wife left the husband, but she timed it at the funeral. Naturally, she left with her parents....she needed a ride and who else would she leave with since she no longer was with her husband.

I guess i read it wrong. You are saying that the divorce is a result of the parents meddling?
