I'd never heard of this til the past couple of weeks.
2 girls I talked to are both into big time. Anyone on here done? Tried it? Fun? Lame?

I went with the scouts. Tried two caches, couldn't find either. But did find som baby possums in the hollow of tree, which was cool.
It was lame. |

Yeah, Mike is lame and he obviously sucks with a GPS!!
I have taken my family out geocaching many times and we have had a blast. I have found caches in Kuwait, Canada and all over the US. It really gives you something to do wherever you go. Good way to get out and go hiking camping etc. Check out www.geocaching.com

I've done it a few times...if you are with the right people, it can be pretty fun...definitely a good date.

Can it be done with an automobile NAV unit like a Garmin Nuvi? Mine has a setting for walking rather than driving and can work by LAT/LON coordinates rather than addresses if you want. I just wonder if they are any less precise than what you might otherwise use for geocaching.

I have no first-hand experience with geo-caching, but it sounds incredibly gay.
