Every time I read the Epistle of James...
I wish we had more of his writings (I know, someone will chime in that he didnt really write anything and it was done in the 5th century or something). For some reason the manner in which he wrote clarifies things easier for me.
Its basically an epistle about living the right way... bridle your toungue take care of sick and elderly Ask questions to god and you will be answered... Pragmatical religion...

When Martin Luther translated the Bible into German, he stuck James in the back.
I guess the "faith without works" part irked him a bit.
But, I concur. It's a nice piece of scripture. |

I don't remember which Greek text he relied upon whether it was the Basel one, but at least it refers to the traditional name of Jakob, instead the King's name.
