O.J. Mayo
This kid is a piece of work.
For those of you who don't know who he is, he is the top rated high school basketball player in the nation this year and is heading to USC to play basketball. Over the weekend he was ejected from his game after two technicals for taunting. When he went to confront the ref about his ejection, he bumped the ref and knocked him down. He had been subsequently suspended until a judge overruled his suspension and is allowing him to play... This kid has Maurice Clarett written all over him. There should be some sort of mandate that requires him to go to Texas Tech. He could use a little Knight justice.

If he is the top rated player, why isn't he going to the NBA?

because NBA doesn't take kids straight from high school anymore. that's why Oden is playing at Ohio State instead of the NBA.

I saw the video clip of the "incident." I think the ref was full of it.
I do think the fact that we know about the going-ons of a high school game in Ohio (?).

I wasn't sure if it was Manu Ginobili or Vlade Divacs reffing the game. It was pretty bad acting on the part of the ref. And I didn't 'see' anything that was really tech worth watching it. Seemed more like the ref had a case of wanting to prove something.

You are correct, however Mayo has been in trouble in the past, he is playing at Huntington highschool now because he was kicked out of his school in Ohio, along with Bill Walker who is at Kansas St. They were both kicked out for fighting. He has a history of problems, which imo wont stop when he gets the riches of the NBA. Also i believe Mayo can go to the NBA after this year because he is already 19.

His story of going to USC is a joke too. He had mentioned them but the coach (Floyd?) gave up because he didn't think they stood a chance. On the day he was to announce his choice, he sands coach a fax saying~ "Make a scholie available for me 'cuz I'm coming to USC."
