Default Did I hear Bronco correctly last week?

Either in his weekly radio show or during the press conference, did Bronco say that the 3-4 is the defensive set BYU will run while he is the HC, suggesting that he has no plans to return to the 3-3-5? I'm pretty sure that's what I heard. Very different from last year when he insisted that the 3-3-5 was what brought him coaching success and that he had no intention of changing.

Interesting and very big picture of him.

Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.

One of my biggest complaints about Bronco was the fact that I didn't feel like he was flexible. I felt like he would ride the 3-3-5 to the death, and I didn't like it. At first I was excited to see the 3-3-5 in Provo, but it quickly wore out its welcome. I was worried that Bronco was tied to it; the fact that he has adapted something that, to him, was who he was as a coach in order to help the team succeed goes a long ways in my mind.

Yes that's what he said, and I feel exactly the same as you do about it. That that is very "big picture" of him to let go of any personal ego tied up in the 3-3-5. That's the #1 thing that has me being won over by him right now.

I'd like us to recruit enough poly stud D-linemen that at some point in the near future he looks at his talent level and his recruiting demographics and moves to the 4-3.
