Default The Nintendo DS rocks. Can't wait for the Wii.

We bought the DS for the boy last X-mas, and Faith has since become addicted to Sudoku on the DS, so we got her one of the new Nintendo Lites the other day. The equipment is solid. Very fun, and the touch-screen and dual screens are super cool and open up a world of gaming posibilities.

We are so impressed with this little gadget that we have decided to definitely spring for the Nintendo Wii over either the ps3 or xbox 360. Nintendo is where the innovation is, and the games are just a blast.

The Wii will work with a pair of controlers, one that senses its position in space. Imagine a 1st person shooter, where you control your movement with a little joystick in one hand, and blast the enemies by pointing at them with a laser pointer. Or imagine a Madden game where you pass the football by aiming it at a receiver and the strength of your gesture determines the power of the throw. Or a golf game! The possibilities are endless.

It will be a fun X-mas.

i have a PSP and I enjoy it a lot more than the DS. it is more of a multimedia center than a gaming center, however the DS games are a lot more fun.

Do you have both? How can you say that you enjoy one more than the other unless you do?

What I can say is that the touch-screen opens up a world of gaming pleasures that no other system provides. There is something very satisfying about pounding little enemies with a stylus, even if we are only talking about glorified whack-a-mole.

I have the following systems (yes i know i am a gaming geek)

Playstation 2
Xbox 360
Xbox (moded with over 1500 nintendo, supernintendo, and Nintendo 64 games)
Gamecube
Playstation portable
Nintendo DS

I am still a playstation guy for life, but i couldnt help buy an xbox when i found out i could play contra on it. yes the code still works even on a moded xbox.

DS is fun i am not saying that but in terms of an overall system i like PSP better. The thing nintendo has rights to that will always be great is Mario.
