THis is your site for latebreaking BYU news: KC committed to BYU. Which is big, because he was the biggest recruit on BYU's (realistic radar). At #57 overall prospect in the country, not a bad pickup for BYU.

http://www.maxpreps.com/news/PC6OK67...-picks-byu.htm

He will get to play with his brother, who is returning from a mission. Older brother played as a freshman, good defender and rebounder. Opportunistic, occasional scorer.

BYU is also recruiting a kid named Jabari Parker from Chicago. He is LDS by way of an LDS polynesian mother. His father played at Texas A&M and 6 seasons in the NBA, and is a well known local figure in Chicago (Sonny Parker Youth Foundation). He would be in the class of 2013 recruits. However, BYU is sending signals w/ his older brother who is a JC (?) in southern Utah (?).

So going into this season, we now have a squad whose main claim will be that they are experienced, have been to the dance before, have an idea of what it takes to get over the hump. BYU is picked to finish first in the MWC. I haven't looked into the prospects for the other MWC teams however, don't know if it will be a down or up year for the conference. I figure I will get Directv for this basketball season, so I will finally be able to watch some games. I think I know the game of basketball half-decently, so expect some stunningly on-point critiques.

You're among the most humble individuals I've ever met.

Looking at the MWC, it appears to be a down year for most teams. The top five might actually be interchangeable.

SDSU is the other top pick.

UNM lost three important players, as did the Utes. UNLV may or may not pick it up.

Wyoming may slide in there.
