It's a big year for Bronco.
Star senior QB, as good a RB as BYU has had, who is now healthy. Star tight end. Some experienced players. TCU completely manhandled BYU in terms of coaching last year. I think BYU fans saw the limits of "simple execution" last year, when coaches were out game-planned and showed poor ability to adjust during games. Bronco, by consensus, has to be the 3rd best coach in the MWC. What's he going to do about it? |

Definitely ranked Utah lower than I expected and TCU higher than I expected. I like it better when BYU doesn't see themselves in these kinds of polls and realize that this kind of recognition has to be earned by their playing.
Last year the Cougs came in way too high. You can bet though that if Utah wins their first string of games they could spend a good portion of the season in the top ten.
