Default So long, Kwame Clown. Hello Pau Gasol.

A good day in Lakerland, indeed.

I can't believe the Lakers got him for nothing. If they can hold the fort until Bynum gets back to form, this looks like a team, no one will want to meet in the playoffs:

Fisher/Farmar(stupid Bruin)
Kobe
Lamar
Pau
Bynum

If Sasha and Vlad Rad can start hitting shots....look out!

I expect to see the Laker flags on cars once again!

Just Pau's ability to MAKE free throws and catch passes will open things up nicely for the Lakers.

Everyone knew Kwame could not finish around the basket. When was the last time, if ever, that we saw Kwame getting doubled?

The Grizzlies are idiots! Kwame Brown for Gasol. They could of gotten something so much better. That was highway robbery.

Grizzlies also got 2 first round picks and a second. Of course, they're sure to be very low first round with the new Lakers lineup.

I think Kwame's contract is expiring too...isn't it?

Kwame's in his last year at $9 million. Gasol has like 3 or 4 years left at $13 million. Grizzlies are going the Portland route with a bunch of young players, and get a couple high draft picks.

Also, the owner is trying to sell the team, so he's trying to lower the financial obligations of the team to make it more appealing to a buyer.

The other impact of this trade, assuming Kobe stays, is that it makes the Lakers an attractive place for older veterns to go for the minimum. That is how you make your bench strong in the playoffs.

If Bynum were not injured right now....wow.

Wow, what a trade. The Lakers just went from pretender to contender.
