Default Time to give the Defense props

I was harping on it all week long. They were without a doubt to me the reason why we won today.

The BYU defense was not getting the credit nor respect it deserved from many observers and fans leading up to the game.

Today they proved they are the better defense.

If Jan Jorgensen isn't in serious consideration for MWC DPOY then it's a crime.

Beau Bell will probably win it and don't have a problem with that, but I'm glad Jorgensen still has 2 years left.

BYU's D looked very good today - especially up the middle.

I was ticked that Nixon didn't hold the edge on the Utes touchdown, but hey no one is perfect.

It wouldn't hve mattered. Mack would have run right through him.

Nah, he would have used all of his moves. Because he has more than Unga will ever have.

BYU has a great defense, but I still think the Utes have the better defense. The Ute offense is really not very good. BYU has a much better offense, so I think the Utes had a tougher task today.

Good points.

By the way,,,you're not one of the Yewt "fans" I'm talking about, because earlier in the week you did give BYU's defense respect and credit.

BYU is easily the best defense that Utah has played all year. I think the difference in the game came down to this. Both defenses have their weaknesses. Utah's weakness is stopping a good RB like Unga. BYU's weakness is the deep ball. BYU had the players to exploit Utah's weakness on defense, Utah did not have the QB to exploit BYU. That was the difference.
