A discussion on recruits who choose Utah over BYU invetibaly (sp) leads to these type of comments.

One of the downfalls of having the very visible honor code is it allows fans like this to make such comments. Here we go again, you don't go to BYU because you aren't smart enough or you aren't of good enough character.

These type of statements are the kind that my friends who dislike BYU pull out to show me "BYU types". I know they are dead wrong and these types represent the minority of BYU fans, but one of the problems with the cleansing of Cougarboard is these types won't get called out as much.

In case this posters post was satiracal or in jest, I apologize for pointing his post out. However, there are BYU fans who think like that and I am frankly as embarassed about them as I am a Ute drunk.

I'm starting to wonder why all these posts on CG are starting out with links to CB. With the exception of Lingo and/or Santos, why don't you just go post over there?

Are you out to save the whole world and give guidance in everything. I will post where I want and try not to worry yourself over it.

I try to defend you as often as I can Tex. I am not a practicing proctologist though and convincing people your head isn't constantly up your butt is beyond my abilities.

They ask us to swear to obey rules arbitrarily enforced. In a way, we know we will continue to break them, so it seemed hypocritical. 71 is our pied piper. I like much of CB, but I don't like the way rules are enforced. I was dinged for a really silly reason for three days.

Additionally, although many of the mods are friends, it has become an unfriendly environ for anybody but the most ardent and conservative of posters.

My resolve is such that I won't ever be a frequent poster there as long as signing the rules agreement over and over again is part of the deal.

IMHO things have evolved to the point where those who wear blue shirts to church are let known they aren't that welcome unless they change their ways. Those who wear levi's definitely aren't welcome.

On the other hand I still enjoy visiting that board for some of the thoughts that are expressed there. I consider many of the posters and most of the mods friends.

I actually plan on posting once there before the Football season, but don't envision posting more than once every 3 to 6 months.
