Default How to fix my flash drive?

I have a 1 gig drive that is completely empty, but the properties say 788 MB are taken, only allowing me to add 212 MB. Any ideas how to clear it?

How do I format it? I don't recall it coming with a cd-rom or anything like that. Just plug and play, so to speak.

Assuming we're talking windows here, right click on the drive in My Computer and click format.

Obviously make sure you have any data off of it you care about first.

Awesome, that worked, thanks! My summer abroad ends tomorrow, so everyone is trying to share photos.
