If we keep chasing the changing hot spot before finishing what we have started, we will always be behind the eight ball. If we shift the focus to Afghanistan, it won't be long until the focus ends up back in Iraq, or Iran, or Lebanon.

Even in WWII under a democrat as President, they focused one place first.

Who cares? We broke Iraq, it's our responsibility to fix it. I don't like what it says about us as a country and a people that we're willing to run away from problems when the going gets tough. Doubly so problems of our own making.

It's our responsibility to stay longer than the Iraqis want us to be there?

If the Iraqis are actually ready to stand on their own two feet than I see no reason for us to stay, but I've read nothing that indicates they're there yet. So yes we're still obligated to stay regardless of what they "want."

Once again we broke it, we are morally obligated to fix it.
