Default And the winner is

I've been thinking about the overlooked winners and losers to come out of the election year. (Without Obama to campaign for I'm really grasping at straws here, so bear with me.)

winners:
diplomacy, the government-dependent, internet media, Nate Silver, Mitt, Sarah, women, the GOP

losers:
defense contractors, the wealthiest wage earners, broadcast networks, pollsters, PACs, Huck, women, neocons

I'm still trying to figure whether the LDS church came out better or worse or neither. On the one hand, I think Mitt contributed to a lot of positive publicity. On the other, there were some misrepresentations of the faith that were widely publicized, too. And social conservatives will appreciate the church having so heavily invested in their cause in California, but others might be alienated or offended by that. I'm not sure what to think.
