Default Man, Republicans really are out of touch with reality.

http://powerlineblog.com/

Check out this entry (which is a play by play commentary of the Dem convention):

10:39 Biden is imagining the conversations that take place in the homes he passes on the train. "Should mom move in with us?" "How are we going to heat the home this winter?" etc. Why does Biden assume the conversations aren't of the upbeat kind he had with his mother? Are we a poorer country now than when Biden was a kid 55 years ago in Scranton?

10:41 These conversations Biden has just described "aren't isolated." No, they are imaginary.

Imaginary? Do most Republicans own 7 homes? That's about the only way someone could conclude that such conversations are imaginary.

Don't you?

I'd give you one of mine, but I'd hate to cripple your personal growth with a handout. Just remember, as you and your mom shiver in the bitter cold, I'm teaching you to fish.

$4M per year? How about $350K per year like Mrs. Obama. How many Dem's go to Harvard? How many Dem's earn the equivalent of what the Hollweird's earn? Remind me again. What is your point? Oh, and I forgot the Kennedy's. How many Dems live in the world of the Kennedy's, Gore's, Edward's, Pelosi's?

Yawn.

Your Messiah received the nomination and you're focused on a few bloggers who don't want to see him turn the US into France.

I was busy last evening so I didn't get to watch the nightly spectacle of Dems portraying the U.S. as some Eastern European backwater. What's wrong with people asking whether or not mom should move in with them? The Japanese wouldn't ask that question. As for heating homes, don't worry, Pelosi's wind power is coming to the rescue.

Dems love to portray the country as a horrible place in need of overhaul. Most Americans can't relate to that. Neither can most non-Americans, who are clamoring to get in.

Dude, they are imaginary. Literally. A pure product of Joe Biden's imagination. Truly, he is making this up. He is not really listening to the nighttime conversations in the homes he sees on the train ride home to Delaware.

But if he sincerely believes he is, is it any less real?

I'm willing to bet John Edwards' "Two Americas" speech about the little girl who can't afford a winter coat is bogus. You can get a winter coat for $10 right here:

I'm not sure what Edwards's rhetoric has to do with this thread, but there are kids at my son's school whose families can't afford a ten dollar coat. They can't even afford their pencils and crayons for school.

And how dare you ask them to give up that pack-a-day...
