and id hope to get some very straight forward answers!
why do people work for other people? why dont you do what you do now except do it on your own? what does it take to make something work? why dont more people invest in real estate? thanks... |

I am not ready to go out on my own at this point. Even if I were, there are advantages to working in a collective, ie, aggregated experience, name recogntition/reputation. Those are the only two I can answer.

1) Because it's easier to work for someone else. As with most things in life, people tend to choose the path of least resistance.
2) Very tough to break into the type of business I am in as a start-up. 3) Desire, passion, "sticktoitiveness" 4) It's not very liquid, very illiquid in some markets. Takes a lot of capital to get in, especially here in CA. |
