Default Didn't anybody read the Book of the Month?

If not, perhaps somebody else should select one. As that one went over like a lead balloon.

As a side comment, I appreciate the NRSV Oxford edition. For example, it has the footnote identifying the woman taken in adultery as being an aprocryphal story, not likely part of the original.

According to Ehrman and other sources, too many idiosyncracies, not the least of which, where was the man taken in adultery? The law required both to be stoned, and apparently the Greek used is inconsistent with the flow of the rest.

Arch, give us time to get and read a copy. I'm waiting for a co-worker to return from Hawaii so I can borrow his copy.

So not everyone is an impulsive as I? Of course, I wanted to read it; that's why I suggested it.

Just buy one. What's with this borrowing stuff? Borrowing for me means keeping it.

Why do I feel like I'm in the 4th grade again?
And there's a math test?
And the smart kid has already finished all the times tables and I haven't even sharpened my pencil yet?

I'm reading Fingerprints of the Gods. Interesting stuff, especially in light of the BOM historicity discussions of late.

Due to Arch's incessant whining I drove to a more distant store today and purchased the book.

I read the introduction at lunch. Very interesting and I look forward to the rest.

There arch, are you happy?
