Default LDS Missionary arrested

....for murder? No. For rape? No. For any kind of violent crime? No.

Quite simply, he was arrested for being an illegal alien.

Unfortunately, I can't link to the original sltrib article, because it is archived.

I have great sympathy for the youth in our church that are here illegally. I'm glad that the church allows them to serve missions without going back to their "home" country. (For many, that home country is not a home that they can remember or relate to particularly).

I worry about these youth, about what the future holds for them. They are in a difficult situation.

Funny that the church leadership is so much more tolerant of illegals than the general mormon population seems to be. I say seems to be because the loudest voices may not be representative.

Yeah, its policies like this that give mullahs the same kind of heartburn that I get when GAs say they are right even when they are wrong.
