Default The Italians . . . looked down their garlic noses . . .

"(Jesus') enemies had their opinion about Him," Wright wrote in a eulogy of the late scholar Asa Hilliard in the November/December 2007 issue. "The Italians for the most part looked down their garlic noses at the Galileans."

Wright continued, "From the circumstances surrounding Jesus' birth (in a barn in a township that was under the Apartheid Roman government that said his daddy had to be in), up to and including the circumstances surrounding Jesus' death on a cross, a Roman cross, public lynching Italian style . . ."

This is getting personal now. This guy is a real ass-wipe bigot.

I fail to understand how anyone can respect Obama's relationship with this joker. I don't care how much good he has done. This is hate speech.

When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.

You're like a crazy uncle that I can no more disown than I can my white grandmother (who, unlike Obama, I will not throw under the bus).

That is a nice little pejorative. Reminds me of my favorite line in Godfather, when Hagen is trying to get Wolz to cast Johnny Fontaine. Wolz mistakenly calls Hagen a wop, but Hagen corrects him by explaining that he's German-Irish. Wolz responds with, "Well, listen here, my kraut mick friend."

It's amazing, nay triumphal, that we can have a frank discussion about the state of relations between those of northern European descent and those of southern European descent.

He actually says, "I don't care how many dego, wop, guinea, greaseball goombas come out of the woodwork."

Sad that his horse had to pay the price for his racial insolence....an event immortalized in song later by Echo and the Bunnymen.

The Reverend Wright just doesn't get it, does he?

Look for the Clinton camp to really use the good reverend to their advantage.

And DDD, I agree about the dancing horses. I say bring 'em on.
