Default Commute by bike?

Just out of curiousity, how manyhere coimmute by bicycle and, if you do, how far is it?

I iwll start. I try to commute as often as possible, but it ends up only bering once or twice a week, typically. The commute is only about 7 miles each way (sometimes longer going home if I am feeling like a good ride and have the time) on a flat course with a large hill at one end (which is why my times going to work are always faster than my times going home).

Flash does. 7 miles also.
But this being the state that it is, there are no hills. One interstate overpass. Heckofa wind on most days.

I do only a handful of days a year. I try to commute during National Bike-to-work week.

I get to take my first grader to school, so that makes it a little difficult. He is probably old enough and experienced enough to make it the 4 or 5 miles, but the roads are way to narrow between my house and his school.

My work commute is about 4 miles at most.

I do in the summer when I can. It's only 6 miles each way but a couple of them are in a very beautiful area. I get to cross over this bridge:

Try not to get too worked up, but we ride past both these beauties:

The most amazing thing about those beautiful sites is that you actually found images to post.

I don't commute to work, unless you consider walking downstairs to my office in the basement a commute.

These are a few of the sites I see along the Jordan River Parkway where I ride:
