Did anyone have a mullet?
I confess I did from around 87-90, as did most of the kids my age in Sandy, Utah. Not an extreme Billy Ray Cyrus mullet, but a mullet nonetheless.
I am proud however, that I ditched that unfortunate do a couple of years before my contemporaries, and about 10 years before West Valley-ites. I have heard rumblings that the mullet is making a comeback. Kudos to Barry Melrose as well as the entire town of Green River, Wyoming for sticking with it through good times and bad. |

I had a mullet-lite. Kind of like Canseco's. Not real long in back, but long enough to qualify. Speaking of mullets, am I the only one who never heard the word mullet until the late 90's? When I used to get my haircut in the late 80's I'd just say "cut it short on top and the sides and leave it longer in back".

In fourth grade my hair was a little shorter on the sides and feathered. Does that count?

I did have big bangs in 6th grade so I would say that is the 80s female equivalent.
