Default X struggles with GA bodes ill for BYU

Mid-majors appear overseeded. Also, playing bigger faster teams all through the year makes a difference. Buy A&M, sell BYU.

That's a bit of a stretch. A single upset doesn't a trend make.

BTW, Xavier just took the lead on Georgia.

Xavier is rolling right now. When I left the computer about 20 minutes ago they were down by 11. Now they are up by 8.

My bracket appears safe, for now.

Nah - at work, am just watching scores. It's not like GA was smoking X all game, and it's not uncommon for a high seed to come in lackadaisical their first game.

The telling stat for the game is that GA is 2-2 on FT attempts. X is 15-19. Sounds like our game last year.

I noticed that. Hard to tell why from the limited info I am getting here at work. I need X to win for my bracket.

Based on what I saw last year, X was a very athletic, aggresive team, and would be likely to draw lots of fouls.

GA only getting 2 FT attempts seems unusual, though.

And even less so does a single half.

I'd have no problem with someone saying "A&M's size & speed bodes ill for BYU." Trying to relate the Xavier-GA game to the BYU-A&M game is where the stretching occurs.

Lest we forget GA was 14th seeded, X third.
