Did I hear correctly on local sports radio?

They had a clip from Bronco answering a question about how often BYU blitzed at CSU and how effective it was.

Bronco indicated that we blitzed 12 times......none of them successful. That's on the heals of blitzing UNLV 9 times and not getting to the QB once.

I guess it confirms my observation that our defenders, instead of shedding blockers, they run right into them with their heads down. Many times our own guys running into each other.

Ouch. That's bad defense all around. DL, LB and secondary. Thank goodness we have been playing some crappy teams.

Concerning confirming observations I was wondering if we could have a public poll to deduce when everyone had their observations confirmed that you had a vagina that smelt like Boogar's grandmother's douche bag?

Similar to Amulek I got my revelation in the fourth hour of the fourth day of the fourth year of this century.

I don't think we blitzed that much. I think he's calling it a blitz if we bring a LB (usually Nixon), making it a 4 man blitz.

On an ineffective blitz, reminds me of the 2005 D. They blitzed like crazy, especially from the safety, and never did any damage with it. At least this year Bronco's wise enough not to wrecklessly blitz when you get no return from it.

I don't consider that a blitz if we rush 4 guys out of our 4-3. We don't do much creatively at all on defense. We give opposing teams nothing to game plan for.

Clarification from the SLTRib blog: "Mendenhall acknowledged that BYU blitzed or rushed more than three defenders 12 times against CSU, but none of those worked."
