Driving distracted

I used to play ball with Chris a long time ago. Now he is dead. Let us do better and use this tragedy to make this world a safer place. |

I hope this message gains more momentum because this is a really senseless reason for a person to die. |

This confirms much of what I suspected about you.

Lol. If you are driving around DC while talking on the phone and you hear someone from the sidewalk shout "get off the phone!" it could well be me. As a pedestrian, it's disturbing to stand at crosswalks and intersections and see how many people roll through their turn while on the phone.

yes, well, my facebook wall gets so much traffic. . . maybe I will post it.
For years I've been talking to people about this--to the point of refusing to talk to someone who is calling me from their own car. Somehow it feels a little I-told-you-so coming from me (believe it or not, I don't like that role). It has more impact, more humility when it comes from this widow who says she used to do it too, and now look what's happened. |
