Actual Editorial from today's paper
From the Redding Record Searchlight (redding.com):
Wal-Mart rules in Poverty Flats I am not surprised that the new Wal-Mart Supercenter had such a lucrative opening (surpirsed, no;dismayed, yes). After all, here in Poverty Flats welfare is king and tackiness is queen. There is a silver lining, though, to all this county greed. I can now shop at my favorite stores (Raley's, Holiday Market and Safeway) without being trampled by hordes of food stamp-weilding lardbodies looking for "bargains." I just hope the Supercenter was smart enough to super reinforce their floors. Janis Baker Redding Last edited by SteelBlue; 06-28-2006 at 09:01 PM. |

I bet Raley's, Holiday Market and Safeway are all wishing they weren't included in her editorial. |

I read that this morning and couldn't believe that someone would write that AND put their name next to it.
Maybe it was written by some lady she pissed off while in line at the new WalMart supercenter. Checker: "Well, Mrs. Baker, have a nice day." Mrs. Baker: "No please, call me Janis." Pissed off lady behind her: (Janis Baker eh????....Hmmmm) |
