Question Is anybody reading...

...anything really good right now?

I'm going to have more time to read in the next few weeks. I was wondering if there were any suggestions.

I think I remember Farrah mentioned a good one...anything else?

I'm reading the current issue of Sports Illustrated right now. It is really good.

I can also recommend "Enterprise Integration Patterns: Designing, Building, and Deploying Messaging Solutions". It's a real page turner.

The Litigation of Jones v. Clinton

Apparently the gems that wooed Paula into Bill's stateroom were "I love the way your hair flows down your back," and "Nice curves."

Once in the stateroom, he dropped his pants and offered to let her "kiss it."

I'm amazed she was able to resist such charm.

Yes, I'm almost finished with "West with the Night" by Beryl Markham, and I still highly recommend it. One of my favorite reads in a long time.

Before that, I read Spook: "Science Tackles the Afterlife" by Mary Roach. It started out interesting and funny, but dragged towards the end. I heard her other book, about the cadavers, is better.

I also listened to some audio books by David Sedaris. "Me Talk Pretty One Day" is hilarious.

I am reading this right now. I have listened to some of Sedaris' "This American Life" on NPR but this is the first book I have read of his. Very funny, light read. I like his tone and style.

I love David Sedaris!

He wrote a piece recently called "D'accord" which was one of his best ever.

Of course I think everything reads better on paper. So if nobody else thinks it's funny, I'll blame the medium.

I read this book a couple of years ago. It inspired me to write a few essays on experiences in my life. Then I quickly realized I had nowhere near the talent that Sedaris has.

I'm reading. "Manhunt: The 12 Day Chase for Lincoln's Killer"

It reads like a fast paced political thriller.

I recently finished "Path Between the Seas" by David McCullough. Outstanding book.

I know, but Sedaris' imitation of his father is pretty funny. So for his stuff, I recommend the audio version too.
