Disco to quit cycling
Anyone have any thoughts about this? Any ideas who the new sponsor might be?

I saw this news the other day. I thought it a bit peculiar in the first place that Discovery Channel would pick up as primary sponsor of the team. I would think advertising would be a prime motivator for sponsoring a team. If thats the case why would discovery do it? Is there some other major reason for sponsoring a pro team that I'm missing, other than love of the sport?
As for a new sponsor, Amgen already has quite a bit invested in the team, or rather the team has quite a bit invested in Amgen. It might make for a good match if they jumped in and made the relationship official. |

Thye could have some good slogans, too, like "better cycling through pharmaceutical innovation" or something.
