You should be. Just make sure you remain painfree between now and when you plan to give the treadmill a go.
Next week, try a mile. If you're painfree, run half of the mileage that you were hoping to do. After a day or 2 of rest increase by 10-20%. You will likely not put in as many miles as you were hoping before the race, but hopefully you won't flare it up before then either.
