Default Post some acts of kindness of which you are aware

during holiday season.

I'll start.

In our ward, our bishop is cognizant of those less fortunate, as I imagine all wards are. Every Bishopric meeting, we discuss those without enough, but during the holiday season, he really wants to help.

He mentioned that during High Priest Group, causing money to flood in.

We have several active, worthy families, who struggle. One is a divorced single man, who needs quite a lot, but has a great attitude. The bishop together with his wife is clothing, securing transportation, insurance and a means to lift him to a better job. It is quite moving.

We have families who work hard in life, and in their religious duties, but aren't blessed with abundance. Collectively, our ward is giving large gift certificates so that the children won't go without.

We have a very effective employment specialist. He meets faitfully with all who need employment or improved employment, often employing them in his many companies. I see his generous donations of which only a few are aware. He is usually meek and mild. A good example. He has flown people to mental, substance and physical rehabilitation at his cost, no cost to members.

We have sisters who faithfully go to members where the homes are in disarray, endeavor to teach housekeeping and keep trying. We have members who refuse to go to Church, but the sisters or hometeachers consistently assist.

We have members who disobey obvious commandments but the Bishop meets frequently, hometeachers try to make sure they receive spiritual guidance and attend Church.

For all our faults, we have many, many members who make great, unseen efforts to assist others. I imagine the same is true in your wards, but too often, few realize how much is done, so silently, often without request.

Thank goodness for kindness now during this season or whenever. It makes us human and noteworthy.

God bless.

PS: a duplicate post, but I can never hear too much about what others do for others. As I struggle to understand my faith, all that often only matters if we try wiht our means to lift others. If we seek his will, seek to lift others, ask forgiveness and seek the completing influence of the Atonement, hopefully some of our deficiencies will be compensated for. More mercy, less justice.
