Coach Edwards passed away today.
The loss of Coach is a tremendous loss for BYU. He was BYU football for me, and my visit down memory lane includes many games with wild endings involved his coached teams.
I attended the Holiday Bowl in 1984, and knew him casually through his son, and by virtue of being a fan. He was a gentleman who represented BYU honorably and well. He inspired his players to become better in all fields and he is rightfully honored by Lavell Edwards Stadium.
