Not fierce at all, but I've eaten whale, which not a whole lot of folks have done. Also not fierce but a little odd is sea urchin, which is very, very good, especially when it's fresh.
We used to take our kids to the aquarium in Tokyo on occasion. For us it was quite the zoological experience to see all the different types of creatures that exist under the sea. For the Japanese it always seemed like a trip to the supermarket. "Hmmmm, that's quite good. That's very good. That, well, not good at all, but palatable with some of shoyu."

Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion.
