For me, unless I'm going a long way for an exotic place, the locale doesn't really matter, it's the company I keep. With a friend heading to the car dealership can be a blast, or checking out new bikes can be fantastic. Conversely, with the wrong person, almost anything can be miserable.

I suppose that's pretty accurate. I like camping, hiking, sleeping in a tent, and grubbing around in the dirt, but only for limited periods of time.
There are some things I like doing so much, that it would take someone with a truly repulsive personality to ruin the experience for me, but I see your point. I think the guy and I broke up on Sunday, so the friend in question is a girl, but one my best friends, so we'll have fun.
