Here in Texas (Houston and San Antonio) in particular we are asking the local governments to kick the Katrina refugee the hell out of here. What we have left are the absolute dregs of the old New Orleans. Crime has been higher and statistically linked to these people.
Nearly a 250,000 people are still here in Texas, 30% have jobs. Of these 250K, 70% had jobs in New Orleans. These deadbeats are suing FEMA to keep paying their hotel bills and buying food for them while they sit on their collective ass.
I am sick of hearing people talk about poor New Orleans refugees and that ass clown Nagin griping about how bad they have it. You don't hear anyone from Biloxi complaining, or any of the other areas hit!
Ungrateful people are so used to getting everything handed to them by the government that they couldn't even get off their ass to take care of themselves during the storm. They should be glad to be in a place where people will take care of them and do so willingly. If they don't like "white Salt Lake City" get you ungrateful asses back to "Chocolate New Orleans" (As proclaimed by Nagin, therefore absolving myself of being accused as a racist.)
