Panguitch rocks. Some day, you need to make the drive from Panguitch to Torrey on SR12. It is one of the most drives on the planet. My Dad is from Escalante and you'll pass through it if you make that drive.
I disagree with Venkman about Torrey and Bicknell. But then, I have family in both towns and remember fondly the days spent there in my youth and enjoy how quiet it is now.
Lots of good hunting and fishing in that area.
